INTRODUCTION

As the new technology bursts into Oil & Gas Industry day by day, and the competitions between Oil & Gas Corporations increase tremendously and rapidly, the graduates from petroleum-engineering-related course are required not only mastering the knowledge of the study, but also handling with good soft skills. In order to help students pursue the requirements from competitive Oil & Gas Industry nowadays, Society of Petroleum Engineers(SPE) – Asia Pacific, Petroleum Engineering Department, FPREE, UTM and SPE-UTM Student Chapter always try to help students to expose and motivate their potentials to innovate and practice. This two-day program aims to expose the management and techniques of Oil & Gas Industry to students and establish the networks among Southeast Asia SPE Student Chapters for better development on either SPE or
students’ careers. And it simply can be concluded with three main elements as the center of this event, those are conference, interactive seminar and technical talk. As the theme is “beyond efficiency to effectiveness”, we are also searching for an efficient way for students to develop themselves, since most of students are in a low-efficient range event with plenty of time in their university life. As suggested by organizing committees of SPE-UTM, maximum two students and one lecturer are suggested to attend from each university.
